I am a goal-oriented legal professional, eager toturn law into result. I believe that “out of the box” solutions can be found by reading beyond the wording of the law and simply understanding the needs of business and society for which a particular law was designed.
I have extensive experience in distressed asset management, restructuring and liquidation, complex dispute resolution management and strategy. I am experienced in lobbying and maintenance of the required public dialogue.
Experience
I commenced my career in law more than 15 years ago as a lawyer with the Register of Enterprises of the Republic of Latvia. I then moved to a general law office, where I specialized in mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and consumer lending and the surrounding legislation.
After 10 years of practice at the law office, I took up a new challenge and became part of the management team at one of the oldest privately owned telecom companies in Latvia.
Over the last five years, I have been a Member of the Supervisory Board of an association “For legal content!”which aims to lower piracy levels relating to the illegal distribution of TV and films in Latvia.
Through my interest in professional lobbying and environmental protection, I took on the role of General manager of theLatvian Tyre Management Associationin 2018, focusing on creating a management system for the sustainable end-use for tyres in Latvia
